Consulting qualified shamans prior to embarking into the hidden worlds should be a regulated requirement. Unfortunately, due to the darker side of spirituality and the intangible aspect of spirituality, many shamans from developing countries are humans. And as humans, anything shiny that can catch our eyes and increase our bank accounts overpowers Spirit. It's a thin line to cross when it comes to authentic and responsible healers/shamans. Many shamans who align with Spirit are tucked away, hidden from the world. I can speak for myself and others. I have met many people in my travels of the world, and I can count on one hand the actual shamans I've met.
